Meet the Owner

Hi! I'm Zoe, the owner of Persimmon Montessori School. I was born in China and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. In 2017, I made the exciting decision to pursue further studies in the United States, where I obtained my Master's degree in Piano Performance from George Mason University. I started teaching piano to children in 2014 while in school and also conducted a children's choir in the local community.

My journey into the world of Montessori began in 2020 when I started working as a Montessori teacher. That's when I truly began to see the incredible potential children possess and the impact of the Montessori approach. Motivated by this newfound insight, I embarked on studying the Montessori approach and obtained my early childhood Montessori Teaching Diploma from the Prepared Montessorian Institute (PMI) in 2023.

As a native Mandarin speaker, I'm passionate about incorporating Mandarin as a second language into our program. I am wholeheartedly committed to fostering a learning environment where every child can flourish and achieve their fullest potential through the Montessori approach.
